# Retrieve historical call data

> Retrieve call records by practice and date range, then follow pagination links through the complete result set.

Use the calls endpoint to retrieve call records for reporting or synchronization.

```http theme={null}
GET /api/calls/
```

## Choose a bounded scope

Provide a practice and an explicit date range:

| Parameter | Description |
| - | - |
| `practice__id` | Practice identifier. |
| `call_start_time_after` | Start date in `YYYY-MM-DD` format; included in the range. |
| `call_start_time_before` | End date in `YYYY-MM-DD` format; excluded from the range. |
| `page_size` | Results per page, up to `100` for JSON. |

To retrieve calls from August 2026:

```bash theme={null}
curl "https://api.prod.peerlogic.com/api/calls/?practice__id=PRACTICE_ID&call_start_time_after=2026-08-01&call_start_time_before=2026-09-01&page_size=100&sort=call_start_time" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_ACCESS_TOKEN"
```

## Retrieve every page

Store the objects in `results`, then request the URL in `links.next`. Continue until `links.next` is `null`.

For repeat synchronization:

1. Divide large histories into bounded date ranges.
2. Process every page in order.
3. Store each call by its Peerlogic `id` so a repeated request can be handled safely.
4. Record the completed date boundary before starting the next range.
5. Retry temporary failures using the guidance in [Errors and rate limits](/concepts/errors-and-rate-limits).

<Note>
  Your account returns only practices and records it is authorized to access.
