# Send a user welcome email

> Send a Peerlogic Voice welcome email so a user can complete their initial sign-in.

Send a Peerlogic Voice welcome email to give a user the instructions they need to complete their initial sign-in.

## Before you begin

* Sign in to your Peerlogic Voice domain.
* Confirm the intended recipient's email address.

## Procedure

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the user profile">
    Select **Users**, then select the user who needs the welcome email. The user's **Profile** tab opens.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add or confirm the email address">
    In **Change Account Security**, enter the recipient's address in **Email Address(es)**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the user setup settings">
    Select **Advanced**. Find **User Setup**, then confirm that it shows the correct email address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the welcome email">
    Select **Send Welcome Email**. Peerlogic Voice sends sign-in instructions to the confirmed address.
  </Step>

<Warning>
  Send the welcome email only to the intended user. If the address is incorrect, update it before sending the message.
</Warning>

## Verify

Ask the user to confirm that the welcome email arrived. If they cannot find it, have them check their spam or junk folder before sending another message.

## Welcome-email limits

* You can send another welcome email if the user does not receive the first one or the setup link expires.
* The setup link is active for three hours after the message is sent.
* A user can have up to five associated email addresses. Confirm the intended recipient before sending the message.
