# Configure introductory greetings

> Upload the introductory greeting callers hear when they reach a Peerlogic Voice auto attendant or call queue.

Configure an introductory greeting for a Peerlogic Voice auto attendant or call queue.

## Before you begin

* Sign in to the Peerlogic Portal.
* Have the greeting recording ready to upload.
* Identify the auto attendant or call queue you want to update.

## Configure an auto attendant greeting

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the auto attendant">
    Select **Auto Attendants**, then select the auto attendant you want to update.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the introductory greetings">
    Select **Intro Greetings**, represented by a speaker icon.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload the greeting">
    To replace an existing greeting, edit that greeting and upload the new recording. To add another greeting, select **Add Greeting** and upload the recording.

## Configure a call queue greeting

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the queue messages">
    Select **Call Queues**. Find the queue you want to update, then select its edit music-on-hold control.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload the greeting">
    In **Messages**, select **Add Message** and upload the greeting recording.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the queue settings">
    Return to **Call Queues**, then select the queue name.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enable the introductory greeting">
    Select **Pre-Queue Options**, then set **Require Intro MoH** to **Yes**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Verify

Place a test call through the updated auto attendant or call queue. Confirm that the introductory greeting plays before the call continues.
