Turn on Do Not Disturb (DND) when you do not want your supported Peerlogic Voice desk phone to ring for incoming calls. While DND is active, calls offered to this phone are not presented for you to answer.
DND changes your availability for direct calls and calls offered through a ring group or queue. Other phones may continue to ring, or the call may follow a configured fallback such as voicemail. If this phone is the only expected answering destination, enabling DND can prevent a caller from reaching a person.

Before you begin

  • Confirm that your phone displays a DND key or menu option.
  • Confirm where unanswered calls to your extension are configured to go.
  • Confirm that another person or destination can cover shared ring-group or queue calls when needed.
  • Finish or park any active call before changing DND mode.

1

Select DND

On the phone’s idle screen, select DND.

Turn off Do Not Disturb

Select DND again. Confirm that the DND status icon or message disappears.
DND remains active until you turn it off. It does not expire automatically. The source says incoming calls route to voicemail while DND is active. Because direct extensions, ring groups, and queues can use different routing, test the actual caller experience before relying on DND.

Verify

Call your extension from another phone. When DND is active, confirm that the desk phone does not ring and the call follows the intended routing. Turn DND off and place another test call to confirm that the phone rings again. If this phone receives ring-group or queue calls, test that path separately. Confirm that another intended destination rings and that the caller reaches the correct fallback when nobody answers.

Frequently asked questions

DND silences this phone so it does not ring when a call is offered. The legacy source says calls to your extension go to voicemail. Your actual destination can differ when your extension, ring group, or queue uses another configured route.
DND stays active until you manually turn it off. It does not turn off after a call or at the end of the day.
The legacy source says corded phones offer DND and lists the Yealink T54W and T33G as examples. Availability and the key location depend on the phone model and its configuration.
This phone does not ring for a call offered while DND is active. Depending on the shared route, another member may ring, the caller may continue waiting, or the call may follow the group’s fallback. Do not assume DND is the same as signing out of a ring group or queue. Ask your Peerlogic Voice administrator which availability control to use.

Troubleshooting

The source says corded phones provide a DND option and gives the Yealink T54W and T33G as examples. The label and location can depend on the phone model and configuration. Check the phone’s menu. If the option is still unavailable, contact your Peerlogic Voice administrator.
Turn DND off, then contact your Peerlogic Voice administrator or Peerlogic Support to review the extension, ring-group, or queue routing.
